"Otter Was A Beagle-ish Dog" book by Cliff Yankovich now available. May 13, 2017 11:17 1 Comment
Cliff has been a freelance writer since waaaay before he got into the jewelry business. He got his first story published in the 80's and has written ever since for various local, regional, and even a few national publications.
In fact - he is an award winning writer. At the beginning of the new century, Cliff was writing a weekly column for a paper on the east side of Michigan. He touched a few nerves by writing about driving while on the cell phone and about parents who sell cookies and candies for their children. The two pieces generated enough response to earn this coveted award:
Otter was the shop dog here at Chimera for over a decade until her death in 2016. She made a lot of friends and provided the inspiration for Cliff's new book which features her as well as some other "mostly true tales" from his adventurous life. Chapter titles include: "Camping In A Crapper - More Than Once", "Six Angels In The Panhandle", "Cancer Boot Camp" and others.
Cliff published the book with the help of Pierre and his crew at Chapbook Press, a division of Schuler Books in Grand Rapids. The book in available in the store, on our website, and at Schuler Books. Cliff's promises a minimum of 4 chuckles, 9 smiles, and more!
